Are there any beaches with fire pits in Santa Barbara, CA?

Sort of…
You can rent a campground at Carpinteria State Beach 5 miles south of SB or at El Capitan State Beach, Refugio State Beach, or Gaviota State Beach which are all north of SB, actually they are North of Goleta. They are all campgrounds and you have to rent a spot in advance at some of them, actually in the summer they are all booked way in advance.

How do I find out if there is fire pits at NEWPORT BEACH? Anyone Know?????

I am wanting to watch the sunset and have a little fire with my girlfriend at the beach, where at newport or balboa or anywhere near there is it legal to have a fire?

Yes they have some. It is first come first serve though.
The City of Newport Beach provides fire rings in 3 locations. Fire rings are located on both sides of the Balboa Pier, west of the Balboa parking lot, and at B street on the east side of the pier. There are also fire rings at Corona del Mar State Beach. Have a romantic evening!!!

Do you prefer charcoal or Gas Grills and why?

Charcoal most definitely! Though gas is easier to control, light, and heat, charcoal provides more flavor. It is especially good when used with wood to smoke meat in a charcoal smoker!
